Our Team

We are a team of master’s students at the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität in Hannover at the Institute of Philosophy. You can find more information here: MA Programme in Philosophy of Science

Amir Latifi

Amir got his Bachelor’s in physics but realised philosophy is far more fancy. Physicists get paid more and have a more stable life trajectory but philosophy opens up no clear job prospect to you, which makes it interesting! He enjoys telling people how superior continental philosophy is over the other kind, and he also thinks faith underlies reason. (cf. Kierkegaard’s Concluding Unscientific Postscript)

Anni Bukowski

Anni got her Bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Bologna and is now about to finish her master’s in philosophy of science at the Leibniz University Hannover. She wrote her master’s thesis on the Bayesian No Miracles Argument and her main areas of interest include epistemology, philosophy of probability and decision theory.

Johannes Baer

Johannes previously studied Philosophy and Religious Studies in his Bachelor’s. His main interests include the compatibility of scientific and religious worldviews, Buddhist philosophy, and the ethics of the good life in the Aristotelian and Thomistic traditions.

Kristina Malzahn

After many years as a media designer, photographer and project manager, Kristina completed a degree in philosophy and history to explore the theoretical foundations of knowledge and imaging. Today, she is researching the epistemological role of scientific images with a focus on AI-based imaging and how visual representations shape – and limit – our knowledge.

Paulina Oppermann

Paulina previously studied philosophy and mathematics, but decided to pursue the riskier career in philosophy. Her main interests include the queer and feminist philosophy as well as mathematical applications in the social sciences.

Saeid Ebrahimi

Seung Hoon Hahm

Seung Hoon Hahm graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Philosophy and a minor in English Literature. He enjoys talking in the third person about himself and annoying other people with deep questions that lead nowhere.
