How to Get to the Conference

Arrival by plane
From Hannover airport in Langenhagen, take the „S-Bahn“ no. 5 to the main station (Hannover Hbf). You can follow the directions under “arrival by public transport” from there.

Arrival by train/public transport
From the main railway station (Hannover Hbf), you can easily walk there (ca. 10 minutes). Follow the directions on Google Maps:


Alternatively, walk from the main railway station approximately 250m into the City Centre to the underground railway stop “Kröpcke”, or ride to the next stop on the City Railway, routes 1 (direction Laatzen oder Sarstedt), 2 (Rethen), 3 (Wettbergen), 7 (Wettbergen), 8 (Messe/Nord) or 9 (Empelde). From Kröpcke, take line 4 (direction Garbsen), 5 (Stöcken), 6 (Nordhafen) or 11 (Haltenhoffstraße). Get off at the next stop, “Steintor”. The main building is only 200 meters away, next to the “Lange Laube” exit of the “Steintor” underground station.

Am I eligible for submission of an abstract?

If you are a Bachelor’s or Master’s student, or you have completed your degree in the past 12 months, you are eligible for submission. We do not accept submissions from PhD students.

How can I submit my abstract?

You can submit an abstract by sending an email to submission@sciphihan.de.

What are the abstract’s requirements?

Abstracts should cover one of the main areas of interest mentioned in the Call for Abstracts and should not be longer than 500 words. They can be written in either English or German. In order to keep the conference accessible to international students we strongly suggest applicants to send us English abstracts.

When is the submission deadline?

The submission deadline is May 31, 2025.

When can I expect notification of acceptance?

You can expect to hear from us by June 15, 2025.

When and where will the conference take place?

The conference will take place on the 25th and 26th of July 2025 at the Leibniz University Hannover.

Can I join online?

For organisational reasons, the conference will be in person only. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to join online.

Is there any financial support available?

Yes, we can provide financial support for international students to help cover travel and accommodation costs, if needed. Please contact us directly if you would like to have financial support.

How can I register if I just want to attend but I am not a speaker?

Anyone who is interested in the topic of the conference is welcome to join us! Please send us an email at team@sciphihan.de expressing your interest in attending by 15.06.2025.
